Sightseeing in the Old Town of Salzburg: the most popular shopping mile of the city of Mozart, Getreidegasse Alley – or ‘Grain Lane’, the Great Festival Hall and the Hohensalzburg Castle are all in the close vicinity of your Hotel Kasererbraeu.
Within a ten minute walk you can conveniently reach:
- Getreidegasse Alley (‘Grain Lane’): the most famous shopping mile of the city of Mozart is a ‘must see’ during your sightseeing in the Old Town of Salzburg. Here you will also find Mozart’s Birthplace.
- Judengasse Alley: Judengasse Alley is an extension of Getreidegasse Alley. In the Middle Ages it was home to the Jewish community; today boutiques and stores of international brands are waiting for interested shoppers.
- Goldgasse Alley: the former home of the gold and silver smiths of Salzburg is now a hot-spot for fashionistas.
- Great Festival Hall: imposing venue that hosts the Salzburg Festival.
- Hohensalzburg Castle: the Salzburg landmark is conveniently accessible by cable car in ten minutes. The steep trail takes 20 – 30 minutes to master on foot.

Festival Halls in Salzburg's Old Town - Kollegienkirche Church: the church was built in 1623 for the Benedictine University of Salzburg.
- Franziskanerkirche Church: the Gothic church once was the church of the common citizens of Salzburg – a place of quiet contemplation. Franziskanerkirche Church is the oldest church in Salzburg – a place well worth visiting from 6.30am and 7.30pm.
- Mozarts Geburtshaus: between 1747 and 1773 family Mozart lived here on the third floor of 9 Getreidegasse Alley.
