Events in Salzburg

Theatre, museums, art, concerts – the whole city is a stage

The list of events taking place in Salzburg each year is a long one. No matter when you’re planning your stay in Salzburg, there’s never a week without concerts, shows, art and culture. Around 4,000 events take place in Mozart’s hometown each year. As well as major highlights like the Salzburg Festival and the Advent Festival, Salzburg’s event calendar includes romantic concerts in castles, ballet, exhibitions and much more. You can find all events on Salzburg’s event calendar.

You’ll also find a list of events in the Kasererbräu’s foyer. The hotel’s staff will be happy to provide you with information about events taking place throughout the city.

A Huge Cultural Legacy

St. Rupert’s Day in Salzburg

Residence showcases traditional customs

The Residence (Domplatz) showcases traditional customs. Plenty of groups from the city of Salzburg and the surroundings areas present real local customs from their regions each year as part of the St. Rupert’s Day celebrations. The Chairman of the Pongau Association, Hans Strobl, always manages to come up with a new, varied, entertaining and interesting programme. From folk dance and Shuchplattler dancers to whip cracking and parades of traditional costumes: These traditional customs in all their diversity are a magnet for the many visitors to Salzburg around St. Rupert’s Day.

Events in Salzburg – straight outside the doors of the Kasererbräu: as a guest at the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu, you won’t have to walk far to get to Salzburg’s many events and enjoy this masterpiece of a city to the full: romantic alleyways.
