From the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu, you can reach Salzburg’s best-known sights on foot. The big festival house (Großes Festspielhaus) is roughly a 5-minute walk from this four-star hotel. Directly next to the Landestheatre, there is a theatre that enjoys a great international reputation for its exceptional performances despite the small stature of its actors: the Salzburg Marionette Theatre. For around a hundred years, these little puppets have been enchanting children with pieces by Mozart, Tschaikowsky and Shakespeare.
