The parking spaces of the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu: The Altstadthotel Kasererbräu has several parking spaces just a few meters from the hotel entrance.
As soon as you have passed the bollard at Kajetanerplatz, you will see the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu after about 250 meters on the right side. (please do not drive past the hotel – it is a one-way street!). On the right side opposite the shoe store you will find our loading zone where you can unload your suitcases. After check in we will explain you where you can park your car.
This will lower the bollard for you:
To the left of the bollard is an intercom. Press the button labeled “Kasererbräu”. You will be connected to the reception, which will give you the access code. After you enter the access code into the control panel, the bollard will go down and you can drive up. In the next street on the left is the hotel parking lot.

If you wish to have a parking space in the hotel parking lot, please reserve it before your arrival. The parking lot costs 17 euros per day.

Whether by car, bus, train or plane – the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu is easy and uncomplicated to reach from all directions. We also have a hotel parking lot, which makes it possible for you to park directly in the center.
Arrival by own car:
Did you already know that it is possible to park your car with a booking at the Altstadthotel Kasererbräu, directly in the heart of the city of Salzburg? As a car traveler with a navigation system, we recommend that you enter the destination “Kajetanerplatz”.
The Kaigasse itself is blocked by a bollard, so please stop your car in front of the white marker and use the intercom to connect to the “Kasererbräu” reception to the left of the bollard. They will give you the access code that will deactivate the bollard and allow you to enter the city. On the right side you will now find the hotel in 250 meters. Before your arrival you can reserve a parking space for your car. This costs 17,00 € per day.
Departure from Salzburg South (Italy, Villach):
We recommend that you take the exit Salzburg Süd/Anif to get to Alpenstraße, which you follow straight ahead (approx. 3 km). Then Hellbrunnerstraße begins in the direction of the center, which you continue to follow until you cross the Nonntaler Bridge to Dr.-Franz-Rehrl-Platz, where you will find a traffic circle. Make a ¾ turn to the left and cross the Nonntaler Bridge again. Go straight on to Kajetanerplatz and then into Kaigasse.
Departure from Salzburg North (Vienna/Linz):
If you are driving from Salzburg Nord, we recommend you to drive along Vogelweiderstraße (until almost the end) – then turn left into Sterneckstraße: you will see Bauhaus or MC Donalds on the left side – then take the long right turn (shopping center ZIB on the right) – straight ahead into Fürbergstraße and into Eberhard-Fugger-Straße – direction Volksgarten (Bürglsteinstraße). At the Unfallkrankenhaus traffic circle, decide to turn left and drive over the Nonntalerbrücke bridge into Kaigasse.
Salzburg West (Munich):
Coming from Germany on the freeway in the direction of Vienna Linz A1. At exit 292-Salzburg Mitte, merge onto the B155/Münchner Bundesstraße in the direction of Salzburg Mitte, continue on the B155. Follow the route until B1/ Ignaz Harrer Str./ Wiener Bundestrasse, continue on B1/ Wiener Bundestrasse. Turn right at Gebirgsjägerplatz, follow the route until Schwarzstraße. Schwarzstraße runs slightly to the right and becomes Staatsbrücke. After Staatsbrücke turn left at Rudolfskai, after Basteigasse turn right to Kajetanerplatz.
Arrival by train // by bus:
Directly in front of the main station building is the bus terminal. You can get to the hotel with the following trolleybus lines: The number 3 (direction Salzburg South), the number 5 (direction Birkensiedlung) and the number 6 (direction Parsch). Get off at the “Mozartsteg” and walk to the right. On the left side, after 10 meters, you will go up to Mozartplatz, which will take you directly to Kaigasse. Walk along this street until you reach our hotel after about 250 meters (on your left). From this bus stop you need about 4 minutes walk to our hotel. You can conveniently buy the bus ticket directly from the bus driver and it costs 2,60 €. Visit www.salzburg-ag.at/verkehr for a bus schedule.
Arrival by train // by cab:
In front of the main station, you will find a cab stand directly on the right side. The cost for the cab ride from the main station to our hotel is about € 15,00.
By plane // by bus:
Directly in front of the airport you will find the bus stop of bus line no. 10 (direction Salzburg Süd). Take the bus to the station “Mozartsteg” and get off. After getting off the bus, turn right and walk up the hill to the left after about 10m, passing Mozartplatz (on your right). Continue straight ahead until you reach Kaigasse, follow this street until you reach our hotel after about 250m (on your left). Approx. 4 minutes walk from the bus stop to our hotel, cost: € 2,60/ticket (to be bought directly on the bus from the bus driver). Visit www.salzburg-ag.at/verkehr for a bus schedule.
Most convenient and fastest way:
There is a cab stand in front of the airport, from where you can be taken directly to the hotel. The cost of the cab ride from the airport to our hotel is about € 25,00.
